A 22 year-old nursing student from EAC won the first Most Promising Filipino Model (MPFM) title in simple but elegant rites at the PETA Theater Saturday evening. Justin Al-Shargi bested 24 other candidates in the first edition of the search which aims to discover fresh talents who have the potentials of making it in ramp and commercial modeling.

NEW PUBLICATION
In celebration of this year's "Migrant Workers Day" on June 7, we are coming out with a commemorative publication that is primarily for and about overseas Filipinos, particularly OFWs. Entitled "FILIPINOS TO THE WORLD", and just like our previously published "Global Pinoy" (in 2005), the 24-page large-format gazette will be distributed free to departing OFWs at NAIA’s departure areas, vacationing OFWs at the POEA’s Balik-Manggagawa area, kababayans processing their passports at the DFA, seafarers gathered daily at T. M. Kalaw, and selected commercial areas within Metro Manila and provinces. We also hope to secure permission to have it distributed in Megamall, MRT & LRT stations, and The Filipino Channel (TFC) offices abroad.
MPFM MOVED TO JUNE 28, 2008
Finals of the Search for The Most Promising Filipino Model has been moved to June 28, 2008 to give our franchisees in Bicol and Davao enough time to conduct their own searches whose winners will represent their respective provinces in the Manila finals.

Database of talents/models
Calling on freelance models/talents… RRM Publications, Talents and Events is preparing a database of talents/models mostly for TV commercial VTRs. If you want to be added up, please send me your personal details such as full name, age, height, weight, complexion, talents, skills, etc. It would help a lot if you could also send your latest pix to rrm.talents@gmail.com, please cc rhoel_mendoza@yahoo.com. Sometimes clients conduct online go-sees, so it is best that I have your pix on hand for immediate sending. (Note: right after sending your pix and personal details, please inform me by texting 0918-3948246 or 0916-6274230).
